My Story

Africa birthed me.
The Caribbean raised me. North America is now called home.

A daughter, sister, and aunt. A wife and mother.
I love and am loved.

An avid soccer mom.
I cheer – loudly.

A visual artist’s wife.
I am inspired.

A physician.
I serve.

A lifelong student.
I learn.

A friend, critique partner, and colleague.
I nurture and am nurtured.

A writer.
I write to share my culture, my passions, my stories.

I write to see my son, nephew, and nieces equally represented...in books, in words, on pages, and in art...

in beautiful

living color.
